ROMAN EMPIRE, Gordian III. 238-244 AD. AR Antoninianus (4.71 gm; 23 mm). Rome, 241-243 AD. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III to right, seen from behind. Rev. AETERNITATI AVG Sol standing front, head to left, raising his right hand in salute and holding globe in his left. Cohen 41; Michaux 369; RIC 83. Sharply struck on a nice broad medallic flan. Choice AU. Lightly toned.
