Roman Empire, Philip I. 244-249 AD. AR Antoninianus (3.80 gm; 23 mm). AD 248. Rome. Obv. IMP PHILIPPVS AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev: SAECVLVM NOVVM, hexastyle temple; in centre, statue of Roma between columns. RIC IV 25b; RSC-198. Sharply struck on a nice broad medallic flan. Choice FDC. Lightly toned. Lustrous.
