BYZANTINE EMPIRE, Justine II with Sophia. 565-578 AD. Æ Follis (14.84 gm; 30 mm). RY 13 (AD 577/8). Antioch as Theopolis. Legend usually blundered, Justin left and Sophia right, seated facing on double-throne, both nimbate, each holding a long sceptre and, between them, a cross on globe / Large M, ANNO to left, cross above, regnal year XIII to right, officina letter below, mintmark THEUP'. SB 379; MIB 56-57; DOC 160. Well struck on a nice full flan. Choice EF. Nice original find green patina.
