PERSIA, Safavid to Qajar period. Circa 17th-18th Century AD. A Negative gem/seal set on a custom made Silver ring. (Ring size 9 1/2). Shia poem in admiration of 3rd and highly venerated Imam Hossein (3rd Shia Imam) who raised the flag of revolution against the Umayyad imperial power and was killed in the battle of Karbala doing so. Superb calligraphy. Excellent condition. Very rare.
