SASANIAN KINGS. Shapur I, 240-270 AD. AR obol (0.54 gm; 13 mm). Sunrise 736. Standard issue, reverse, partial letter above the crown of left attendants. This letter is part of the two phrases of "Nura zi Shapur" that appears on both sides of attendants. Lovely style. Choice Superb. Toned. Extremely rare as all Sasanian obols are.
