SASANIAN KINGS, Bahram (Varhran) I, 273-276 AD. AR Drachm (3.76 gm; 25 mm). Sunrise 755. Obverse, Bahram's bust with Mithraic crown turning right, two dots one on the top and the other on the bottom of flowing ribbon, two line legend behind the head, reverse, fire altar with attendants, left attendant wearing Bahram's crown, the right attendant wearing Shapur's crown, Faravahar symbol on the fire altar base. Some minor porosity, otherwise well struck. Choice EF. Superb strike. Extremely rare.
