SELJUQ'S of PERSIA, Tughrul Bayk, (1037-1063 AD). Gold dinar (3.15 gm; 28 mm). Nishabur mint. Obverse, name "Shams" at the top, (meaning Sun) Shahadah ending with phrase "Al Sayad al maqfur Tughril beg" reverse, Shahadah for Prophet Mohamad followed by phrase "Al Qaim bil Howallah (Abbasid Khalif), Amir al Mo'menin (Commander of Faithful). mint: Nishabur, date not legible. Choice UNC with some luster.
