BAKTRIAN KINGS, Antimachus I. ca. 174–165 BC. AR Drachm (4.16 gm; 18 mm). Diademed, draped bust of Antimachus I right, wearing causia; dotted border / BAΣIΛEΩΣ / ANTIMAXOY, Poseidon standing facing, grounded trident in right hand, filleted palm cradled on left arm; monogram to lower right. HGC 12, 109. Bopearachchi Série 2, 9-10. SNG ANS 280. Elegant style. Small area of minor porosity on reverse, otherwise well struck on a broad flan. Choice EF. Lightly toned. Rare.
