SYRIA, Antioch, Seleucis and Pieria. Augustus, 27 BC-AD 14. AR Tetradrachm (15.26 gm; 25 mm) Dated year 36 of the Actian Era = AD 6. ΚΑΙΣΑΡΟΣ ΣЄΒΑΣΤΟΥ, laureate head to right / ΑΝΤΙΟΧЄΩΝ ΜΗΤΡΟΠΟΛЄΩΣ, Tyche seated to right, holding palm branch, river-god Orontes swimming to right below; ϚΛ (Actian era date) above, monogram and ΔΝ (Caesarian Era date) above monogram in right field. RPC I 4158; McAlee 187; Prieur 57. Lovely strike on a nice full flan. Choice EF. Lightly toned.
