ROMAN EMPIRE; Julia Domna, Augusta. 193-217 AD. AR Antoninianus (4.66 gm; 23 mm). Struck under Caracalla, 215-217 AD. Rome mint. IVLIA PIA FELIX AVG, diademed and draped bust to right, set on crescent. Rev.: VENVS GENETRIX, Venus seated to left, extending right hand and holding sceptre. RIC IV 388a(Caracalla); RSC 211. Lovely strike on a nice full broad flan. Perfectly centered. Choice Superb.Toned. Ex. Dr. Klaus Berthold Collection. Lovely example.
