Description
PERSIA, QAJAR DYNASTY, Naser al din Shah. 1848-1896 AD. Civic Copper unit (Shahi) (2.76 gm; 14 mm). Dated 1272 AH, no mint, obverse: "Folus-e raayej-e mamalek-e mahrooseh-e Iran" (copper Currency of provinces under the protection of the empire of Iran), reverse; reclining lion and sun to the left, typical star on the top is not on flan. Alaedini 40. Excellent clear strike for type. Choice VF. Nice original find patina.
