SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgird II, 438-457 AD. AR Drachm (4.10 gm; 30 mm). Obverse, Yazdgird's bust turning right, with exceptionally well delinated standard crown (has clear details similar to the crown of Bahram of Ghandahara in Kushano-Sasanian series), reverse, standard fire altar with attendants typical of Yazdgird II series. Struck on a nice broad flan. Interesting eastern style. Choice EF. Lightly toned. Of highest rarity among the Yazdgird II series.
