Description
ARAB-SASANIAN. Sakastan series 780s AD. AR Drachm (3.40 gm; 31 mm). Obverse, degenrated Sasanian bust turning right, name Khosrau in Pahlavi in front of face reverse, fire altar with attendants, mint "SK" on the right, date degenrated, phrase around the outring of obverse, ilegible except the portion on third quarter being "Tafsir or Tafseer?", In general word "Tafsir" means to clarify the Quranic principals. These series are mostly associated with Eastern Sakastan. Choice VF. Toned.
