Description
ARAB-SASANIAN. Sakastan series- Governer "Ghoddameh" or Qoddameh, 780s AD. AR Drachm (3.31 gm; 32 mm). Obverse, degenrated Sasanian bust turning right, name Khosrau in Pahlavi in front of face, name Ghoddameh on the first quarter, bismillah in the second and Rabi on the third quarter.reverse, fire altar with attendants, mint "SK" on the right, date degenrated, Location of mint and date are reversed. These series are mostly associated with Eastern Sakastan. (Extremely rare for the governor). Choice VF. Toned. Plugged.
