SAFAVID DYNASTY, Persia. Ca. 16th. century. Red Agate Seal. (1.85 gm; 24mm x 20mm x 1mm). Nasta'liq style caligraphy Jewelry piece, stating a prayer to all 12 Shia imam plus Prophet Mohamad and his highly venerated daughter Fatimah which is noted as "Batool" meaning "sacred and sacred as Virgin Mary mother of Jesus". Exquisite style and condition, one of the best we have seen in years.
