KINGS of THRACE, Lysimachos. circa 297-282 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.91 gm; 29 mm). Alexandria Troas, Diademd head of the deified Alexander right, wearing horn of Ammon / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑXΟΥ, Athena enthroned left, holding Nike in her outstretched right hand and resting left elbow on a shield to her side, behind which rests a spear; thunderbolt in exergue. Cf. Meadows, 'The Earliest Coinage of Alexandria Troas, pg. 62, no. 18. Struck on a nice broad flan. Choice VF. Lightly toned.
