SASANIAN KINGS. Kavad I (488-531 AD), second reign. Silver Drachm (4.16 gm; 28 mm). "ST" (Istakhr) mint, year 35. Crowned bust of Kavad turning right, reverse; fire altar with attendants in prayer type, mint "ST" for Istakhr, year 35. SNS type Ic/1a; Göbl type III/1; Saeedi -; Sunrise 967var. Overstruck on an earlier coin. Lovely strike. Excellent metal. Choice FDC. Lightly toned. Perfect example for this issue.
