KINGS of NUMIDIA. Juba I. Circa 60-46 BC. AR Denarius (3.53 gm; 16 mm). Diademed and draped bust right, scepter over shoulder / Octastyle temple; pellet within temple. MAA 29; Mazard 84; SNG Copenhagen 523-4. Choice Superb FE. Original find patina." Juba was an ambitious ruler notorious for his cruelty and arrogance. He supported Pompey in the Civil War and committed suicide after Caesar's victory at Thapsus in 46 BC.
