PERSIA, Late Safavid to Qajar period; ca. 18th. Century AD. Agate Seal (16mm x 15mm ). Persian calligraphy in its finest in Nasta'ligh style 1st line: Cho Jaddam mara Haydar naam nahad 2nd line: fana dar tazalzol kar-e aalam nahad. Meaning: "Since my great grandfather named me Haydar (Name of the first and highly revered Shia Imam it also indicates great physical and mental strength), I will handle any fear and turbulance of universe. Poem is in Sufi and mystic style of the period and in admiration of the first Shia Imam. Excellent condition.
