SASANIAN KINGS, Bahram (Varhran) V, 420-438 AD. AR Drachm (4.12 gm; 27 mm). Standard issue, first series, reverse, mint : AS (Aspanvar or Asuristan) to the left of flame, phrase "Atash-e" (Fire of) on the right and name "Varhran" on the left, together meaning "Fire of Bahram". Excellent style and clear legend, phrase "Raast" (Truthfullness)on the base of fire altar.Choice Superb. Lightly toned. Lustrous.
