SASANIAN KINGS, Kavad II, 628 AD. AR Drachm (4.18 gm; 31 mm). Obverse, Kavad's bust turning right, text (name of the king), "K(a)VAT(a)N" in front of face, phrase "PYRUCHY" (Piroozi-Victory) behind the crown, reverse, fire altar with attendants, mint AHM (Ahmadan) on the right, year 2 on the left. Choice FDC. Fully lustrous. Lightly toned. Superb strike and extremely rare as all Kavad II coinage are.
