Description
ABBASID, al-Rashid, (AD 786-809/AH 170-191). Æ (2.53 gm; 18 mm). Obverse, Shahadah, reverse, Shahadah for Prophet Mohamad, mint Jurjan, year 185. Decorative outer rings are mostly seen on the coins issued in Northern Persia and provinces such as Jurjan (ancient Gorgan) and Azarbaijan. Extremely rare so well preserved. Choice EF with nice original find patina.
