Description
THRACE, Byzantion, Circa 90-80 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.53 gm; 34 mm). In the name and types of Lysimachos. Obverse: Diademed head of the deified Alexander to right, with horn of Ammon. Reverse: ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, Athena Nikephoros seated to left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background, trident and monogram under throne. HGC 3.2, 1402. Well struck on a nice broad flan. Choice Good VF. Toned.
