HUNNIC TRIBES. Kidarites. Buddhamitra. mid-late 5th century. AR Drachm (3.06 gm; 29 mm ). Mint C in Gandhara. Bust facing slightly right, wearing crown with two wings, two ribbons, and korymbos set on crescent; ribbons on shoulders / Fire altar with ribbons; flanked by two attendants; monogram below altar. Cribb, Kidarites, C3; FPP fig. 77, 3; Gobl, Dokumente Em. 18; Donum Burns 1560; SNS III pl. 148, E32; Sunrise 1024. Minor chipping on the edge, otherwise well struck. Choice Superb EF. Original find patina. Lovely example for the issue. Rare.
