Description
ARAB-SASANIAN; Gyselen Type 88, Æ Pashiz (1.95 gm; 23 mm). Obverse, degenrated sasanian style bust to the right, phrase "lwbk" in Pahlavi (Arabic phrase meaning I submit to you and submit again), phrase behind the head not legible, reverse, standing figure, arabic phrase on the right "al-Ghal'"(totally uprooted or supressed) possible reference to crushing resistance in an area. Among the rarest of Arab Sasanian AE pashizes. Brown patina. Choice VF.
