SASANIAN KINGS, Yazdgird II, AD 438-457. AR Drachm (4.15 gm; 31 mm). Standrad issue, first type with fire altar with attendants, mint: GO or GW (Gorgan or Qum), blundered letters (name of the king on the left). Superb style and strike as almost all issues from Gorgan and Qum for Yazdgird II and his father Bahram V are. Sharply struck on a nice broad flan. Choice Superb. Lustrous. Lightly toned.
