ROMAN EMPIRE. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ Sestertius (20.05 gm; 30 mm). Rome, AD 238. IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III right. Reverse: FIDES MILITVM, S C across field, Fides standing facing, head left, holding standard and scepter. RIC 254a; RSC 88. Well struck on a nice broad flan. Brown patina. Nicely centered. Choice aEF / EF.
