ROMAN EMPIRE. Gordian III. 238-244 AD. AR Antoninianus (4.50 gm; 24 mm). Rome, AD 241-243. Obv. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust to right, seen from behind. Rev. P M TR P V COS II P P, Apllo, bare to waist, seated left, holding branch and resting left elbow on lyre. RIC 89; C. 261. Well struck on a nice full flan. Well centered. Choice Superb with some luster. Lightly toned.
