PERSIA, Qajar period. Negative Brown Agate Seal Ring (1.07 gm; 16mm x 13 mm). Persian calligraphy in its finest in Nasta'ligh style 1st line: Goli ke har varghash aberouye chaman ast 2nd line: Negin-e khatam-e in Aba-al Hussein ast. Meaning: "As a precious flower gives its beauty to the willow it is in, the reason this piece of precious stone is valuable is due to the name of Aba-Al-Hussein (highly revered 3rd Shia Imam). Excellent condition. Intact.
