BYZANTINE EMPIRE, Anonymous. Time of Romanus IV. ca. AD 1068-1071. Æ half Follis (5.00 gm; 27 mm). Constantinople. Bust of Christ facing, wearing nimbus cruciger, pallium and colobium, raising right hand in benediction, scroll in left; IC-XC (barred) across fields, all within border of large dots / Bust of the Virgin facing, nimbate, wearing pallium and maphorium, both hands raised; MP-ΘV (barred) across fields, all inside border of large dots. Sear 1867. Choice Good VF. Nice original find patina.
