ABBASID, al-Muqtadir (295–320 AH/908–932 AD), AR Dirhem (3.25 gm; 29 mm). Wasit mint, year 299 (Rare date). Obverse, Shahadah followed by name of Khalif's successor. Muqtadar's reign was a classic case of rebellion, all over the Islamic empire starting with Ziyarids of Tabaristan taking the South Caspian sea region to Saffarids taking the southern Persia. Lovely strike on a nice broad flan. Choice AU. Toned.
