SAMANID, mint Shiraz, year 300. AR Dirhem (2.65 gm; 26 mm). Without the name of ruler and as governors under Abbasid, in the name of Abbasid Khalif Al-Muqtadir billah, mint Shiraz, year 300. Samanids issues without the name of rulers are rare. By this time the power of Saffarids had vanished and most of their provinces were being absorbed by other warloards such as Samanids and Buyids.
