SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgird II, 438-457 AD. AR Drachm (4.12 gm; 31 mm). Obverse, standard issue, reverse, fire altar with attendants holding spears, mint GO or GW (Gorgan or Qum) on the right, king's abbreviated name to the left. Bold strike and large and excellent portrait. Lovely strike on a nice broad medallic flan. Choice FDC. Lightly toned. Lustrous. Lovely example for this issue.
