KUSHANO-SASANIAN. Hormizd I, circa 265-295. Æ (2.31 gm; 14 mm). mint in Baktria, most likely Balkh. Bust of Hormizd I to right, wearing crown with decorated korymbos and a lion's head and legend "Hormizd King" in Pahlawi; Reverse, phrase 'Exalted God', in Pahlawi with figure of Ahuramazda emerging from fire altar, holding diadem and long spear in hands. ANS Kushan, 2235. Nice original find patina. Choice EF.
