TURKO-HEPHTALITES, Nezak Huns. Vasu Deva. Circa AD 720. AR Drachm (2.91 gm; 31 mm). Zabulistan / Sistan mint. Bust right, wearing crown with two wings surmounted by lion's head / Fire altar with ribbon; two attendants flanking; star and crescent flanking flames; Göbl, Dokumente, Em. 244 (Sahi Tigin); Sunrise 1037var. Small copper (possibly replacing original gold) insert on the neck at 6. This was customary practice of piercing and inserting gold in the ancient times (for unknown reasons). Choice aEF. Toned.
