KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.95 gm; 25 mm). Babylon I, struck under Seleukos I as satrap, circa 317-301. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. [Β]AΣIΛEΩ[Σ] - AΛEΞANΔPO[Y] Zeus Aëtophoros seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, monogram within wreath; below throne, H. Price 3704; SC 82.6. Choice Good VF. Lightly toned.
