THRACE, Mesembria. Circa 175-100 BC. Æ (5.10 gm; 21 mm). Diademed female head (Amazon?) to right / ΜΕΣΑΜ-ΒΡΙΑΝΩΝ, Athena Promachos advancing to left, brandishing spear held aloft and shield. SNG BM Black Sea 284-6; SNG Stancomb 235; HGC 3.2, 1575. Ex. Warden Numismatics, LLC. Well struck on a nice broad flan. Well centered. Beautiful original find green patina. Choice EF. Lovely example.
