SASANIAN KINGS; Bahram (Varhran) V, 2nd series, 420-438 AD. AR Drachm (4.13 gm; 30 mm). Standard issue, reverse, mint "RD" (Ray) to the right, king's name to the left, Among all the mints active during this reign, the mints of Ray (RD) and Gorgan/Qum (GO or GW) produced spectacular drachms with beautifully crafted large portraits and fine details. Nice style. Sharply struck on a nice flan. Choice FDC. Lightly toned.
