TABERISTAN; Daadborzmehr, 722-731 AD. AR Hemidrachm (2.06 gm; 23 mm). Sasanian bust to the right, name in Pahlavi in front of face, phrase APD in Pahlavi in the second quarter. Reverse: fire altar with attendants, mint "TPURSTAN (Tabaristan)" on the right, date: 87, dot at the center of the crown below crescent.The period coincides with reign of 10th Umayyad Khalif; Hisham ibn Abd al-Malik (724-743 AD). Album 51. Choice FDC. Lightly toned. Lustrous.
