TABERISTAN; Umar ibn A'la, (771-782 AD). AR Hemidrachm (1.98 gm; 23 mm). Obverse, name in Pahlavi in front of face, name in Arabic/Kufic starting at 3rd quarter "Umar ibn" ending at third quarter with "A'la", reverse, fire altar with attendants, mint: Tapuristan on the right, year 125 to the left, Type 4 with multiple outer rings. Choice FDC. Lightly toned. Lustrous.
