ARAB-SASANIAN; Ziyad ibn Abi Sufian, 665-673 AD. AR Drachm (4.00 gm; 32 mm). Obverse, Sasanian style bust turning right, name and title in Pahlavi in front of face, phrase "Bismillah" on the second quarter, triple dots flanking crescent and star at 6 oclock, dot topping the crescent and star on 4 cardinals, reverse, fire altar with attendants, mint "DA" (Darabgird) on the right, year 41 on the left. Choice Superb EF. Lightly toned. Rare.
