Description
INDIA, Medieval (Southern Deccan). Western Gangas. Circa AD 900-1000. repousse fabric, Gold punch-marked Gadyana (4.85 gm; 30 mm). As feudatories of the Kakatiyas. A series of eight punches: central punch of caparisoned wild boar standing right with four additional punches around; in between outer punches, two śri punches, and two punches with Kannada legends / Incuse of obverse.
