SASANIAN KINGS, Peroz, 457/9-484 AD. Gold Dinar (4.86 gm; 22 mm). "BBA" (court at Ctesiphon) mint. Degraded Pahlavi legend, crowned bust right, ribbons rising from shoulders / "Peroz" in Pahlavi (crude) to left, mint signature to right, fire altar with attendants and ribbon; star and crescent flanking flames. SNS Type III b/1c; Göbl III/1; Paruck 345; De Morgan pl. LXI, 4; Alram 883; MACW -; Sunrise 940var. Well struck on a nice broad flan. Choice Good EF with some luster. Rare.
