ARAB-SASANIAN, Persia under Umayyads. Year 2. Æ (2.12 gm; 19 mm). minted in Susa (per Gyselen), Byzantine imitation pashiz, obverse, facing forward figure styled after Byzantine or Khalif figure with Byzantine or Armenian style cross on the left legends not legible (might be APZUT above the head), reverse, letter "M" with cross above, letters "ANN" (year) on the left, year "O II" (year 2) to the right, mint "LOO" below letter M. Gyselen type alpha in Annex division. Choice aEF. Original find patine. Of highest rarity among the Arab-Sasanian series.
