Description
ARAB-SASANIAN, Apushtan series. Rare. Æ Pashiz (0.76 gm; 22 mm). Obverse, Sasanian style bust turning right, name "plawzat"(Farrokzadan), in front of face, reverse, helmeted soldier with double-headed lance, phrase in Pahlavi behind the figure "APSHT", phrase in Pahlavi "APZUTN" (may the support ever increase). Struck on a nice broad flan. Choice EF. Original find patina. Rare.
