ROMAN EMPIRE, Gordian III. 238-244 AD. AR Antoninianus (3.96 gm; 24 mm). Rome, AD 238. IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right / VIRTVS AVG, Virtus standing left, holding spear and resting hand on shield. RIC 6; RSC 381. Lovely strike on a nice broad medallic flan. Choice EF. Lightly toned.
