SASANIAN KINGS, Bahram (Varhran) V, AD. 420-438. Æ (1.21 gm; 16 mm). Obverse, Bust to the right, monogram of flower Iris in front of face, reverse, fire altar with attendants, no date, mint not legible. Flower Iris is sacred plant (also known as "Flower of Persia") in the Zoroastrian religion and is seen on coins and rock carvings since the Achaemenid era. Choice Fine / VF. Original find patina.
