KUSHANO-SASANIAN KINGS; Ohrmazd (Hormizd) I. AD 270-300, Gold Dinar (7.84 gm; 28 mm). Baktrian mint (Balkh?), King standing facing, head to left, wearing lion-head crown, flames at shoulders, sacrificing over altar and holding trident; trident to left, pellet to right of altar, pellet over swastika between legs, Brahmi 'pe' to right of leg, three pellets below left arm, tamgha to right, reverse Exalted god standing facing, holding diadem with ribbons and trident; behind, the bull Nandi standing to left. Sunrise 1018. Lovely strike on a nice full flan. Choice Superb.
