ROMAN EMPIRE; Severus Alexander. 222-231 AD. Æ Sestertius (20.22 gm; 33 mm). Rome 231 AD. Laureate bust right, drapery on shoulder, IMP SEV ALEXANDER AVG, rev. IOVI CONSERVATORI, S-C, Jupiter standing to left, holding thunderbolt and sceptre, a small figure of Severus Alexander at his feet. BMC 692; RIC 558. Lovely strike on a nice broad medallic flan. Fully centered. Choice EF. Green patina. Lovely example for the issue.
