Description
ILKHANS of PERSIA, Abu Said, 716-736 AH. Æ (2.73 gm; 19 mm). Obverse, Shahadah and Shahadah for Prophet Mohamad, reverse, fish at the center, mint "Shahristan" ("Shahr" at the top of the fish and "e-stan" at the bottom of the fish), Abu Said's name partially off the coin flan but can be seen at 10 o'clock. Typical coin listed by Diler calls the date at 734 AH. This specific coin style with fish has been minted in Tabriz and Sharistan. Btown patina. Choice Good VF. Rare.
